Current Status and Tasks of Faculty Development Programs for Medical Education in Korea

This study aimed to investigate the current status of faculty development (FD) programs operated by medical colleges and institutions in Korea, suggest future-oriented directions for FD. A survey was conducted targeting education that operate FD programs. We investigated reasons selecting topics, program themes, operation methods, longitudinal status, improvement quality control evaluation effects, outcomes problems programs, opinions on latest trends. Twenty-nine out 40 three six responded. Topics were selected based an analysis trends educational environment both groups. The most common themes assessments colleges, teaching/learning curriculum institutions. perceived induce professors’ administrators’ interest improve education. method workshops.
